Crossing The Line To Freedom: A Musical Narrative (12:30-1:30 P.M.)
Boston Lyric Opera and Castle of our Skins join forces to showcase the lives and stories of Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr. and Paul Robeson through the music of opera at this outdoor performance at the Boston Public Library. Paired with spoken word, art song, spirituals and history, their lives take center stage. Meet in the McKim Courtyard at the BPL at 12:15 p.m. and look for the group. Seating is not reserved. Free. Optional high tea in the Courtyard Restaurant after the concert ($39, not including alcoholic beverages; pay at the restaurant). BHV members and their guests.
